Hazardous Environments
Safe Environment Engineering (SEE) Home and Site Map
Life•line combines the ability to:
- Wirelessly monitor the real time output reading from environmental monitors such as:
- Gas detectors
- Radiation monitors
- Have full 2-way voice communication with personnel operating in dangerous and/or closed environments
- Send and receive alarms and generate a variety of incident reports
HazOps System enables Hazardous Material (HazMat) Teams and First Responders to:
- Perform real time monitoring of potentially hazardous environments
- Be alerted automatically:
- When hazardous material is detected
- With the name/type of hazardous material detected
- When physical problems occur with HazMat Team members
- Deploy up to 27 HazMat sensors/instruments at one time
- Seven (7) dissimilar sensors/instruments can be connected over an encrypted short range wireless network
- Up to an additional 20 sensors/instruments can be attached via serial connections
- Some typical HazMat sensors and instruments used with the HazOps System include:
- Ludlum 2241 – Scaler/Ratemeter for measuring ionizing radiation
- iTX 6 - Gas meter for monitoring up to six (6) different gases simultaneously
- VX500 PID – PhotoIonization Detector (PID) for monitoring volatile organic compounds (VOC)
- QuestTemp III - Monitors both body temperature and heart rate to calculate individual body strain in response to heat stress
