About EDO

EDO's history is rich in the delivery of engineering services, Electronic Warfare products, and Information Technology solutions to businesses, government agencies, and military organization.
New TSO Offices opened in 1995

Our Technical Services Operations Business Unit's main facilities are located in the Lancaster, California (Antelope Valley/Aerospace Valley). The Antelope Valley (AV) is steeped in space, aerospace, and military history. The AV is the home of Edwards Air Force Base (EAFB) and Air Force Plant 42 where Space Shuttles, B-1B Bombers, B-2 Bombers, F-117 Stealth Fighters, SR-71 Blackbirds, and U-2 aircraft were built. All major United States Aerospace companies have a significant presence in the valley.

Our corporate history began over 75 Years ago.

Cutler-Hammer, Inc. purchased AIL in 1958 and AIL became a Division of Cutler-Hammer.

AIL Technical Services Operations (TSO) was formed In 1977 to provide engineering, programming, flight test, avionics equipment repair, and production testing for the B-1 Bomber at Edwards Air Force Base (EAFB), California.

Eaton Corporation purchased Cutler-Hammer in 1979 and AIL became a subsidiary of Eaton.

In 1990, TSO was established as a profit center with a mandate to expand into the commercial marketplace. After much research TSO management decided to leverage our in-depth technical support, engineering, programming, testing, and computer operations expertise to quickly become a provider of priced-right commercial Information Technology (IT) products and services.
